In the heart of an old, fog-draped city stood the Letra House, a warehouse whispered about in hushed tones by the townsfolk. It was a place of eerie beauty, with its Gothic arches and sprawling, sandstone walls exuding an aura of mystery. Legends spoke of the house's first owner, a woman named Letrica, a renowned alchemist whose fame came not from potions or elixirs but from her extraordinary skill in crafting wines.
Leticia’s wines were the stuff of legend, prized by royalty and sought after by the elite. She had a gift for transforming simple grapes into exquisite vintages that seemed almost magical. But her success was not enough to satisfy her insatiable thirst for perfection. She yearned to create a wine that would transcend all others, a wine that could grant immortality—a creation that would etch her name into history forever.
Letra House is an underground late-night wine bar and restaurant, hidden beneath Palazzo Salato in Sydney’s CBD. The wine list is ever changing with over 50 bottles - all available by the glass, and there’s a succinct cocktail and vermouth menu, too. A Spanish-leaning menu of snacks, small plates and sharers is a reflection of the team’s time spent cooking and travelling around Spain.
